McLaren basically gifted the home win to Ferrari in Monza. The British team went with the wrong strategy and Charles Lerclerc didn’t hesitate for a bit and after only one pit stop, got to stand on the top step in front of the Tifosi army. Oscar Piastri, who was aiming for the victory, only needed to settle down with second place and his teammate Norris with third.

Not much to see on Friday in Monza as both sessions were interrupted by a red flag. Max Verstappen went fastest in FP1 with Lewis Hamilton winning FP2. Everything is suggesting a close qualifying tomorrow and interesting battle on Sunday as the gaps between the drivers are pretty small.
